Easily replace the belts on your Intex ZX300 pool cleaner with our quick and simple tutorial, using replacement belts specially designed for this model.

Note

Difficulty: Moderate

Duration: Less than 15 minutes

Diagnostic

  • Wheel Stopped: If your device’s wheel no longer functions properly or at all, one of the first parts to check is the belt. A damaged or worn belt can prevent the wheel mechanism from turning correctly, leading to reduced performance or complete stoppage.

  • Unusual Noises: Apart from a wheel stopping, other signs may indicate that the belt is the culprit. You might hear unusual noises, like squeaks or clicking sounds during operation, suggesting that the belt could be loose, worn, or misaligned.

Prerequisites

  • Replacement belts from RepairCoffee
  • A screwdriver
  • Your Intex ZX300 pool cleaner

Repairing the Intex ZX300 Belts

Step 1: Accessibility

Start by placing your robot vertically so that the wheel with the belt that needs replacing is at the top.

Step 2: Unclip the Old Clips

Unscrew the wheel screw, then remove it. You should see a broken or damaged belt, which needs to be replaced.

Step 3: Replace the Clamping Clips

Insert the RepairCoffee replacement belt between the pulley and the plastic rod.

Step 4: Reinstall the Wheel

Now comes the most challenging step. You’ll need to gently pull on the belt to reinstall the wheel.

Belt Tension:

Gently pull on the belt to slightly tighten it. It’s important not to pull too hard to avoid damaging the belt or the robot’s components.

Reinstalling the Wheel:

While maintaining tension on the belt, align the wheel with its axle and pulley. The belt should stay within the pulley groove as you place the wheel.

Final Adjustment:

Gently push the wheel into place, ensuring that the belt remains well-positioned. You can slowly turn the wheel to check that the belt is properly seated and that the mechanism works correctly.

Step 5: Tighten the Screw

Tighten the wheel screw. Then, check that it works correctly.

Compatibility

The replacement belts are only compatible with Intex ZX300 pool cleaners.
