[Tutorial] Replacing the Sodastream Jet Push Button
Easily replace the push button of your Sodastream machine with our quick and simple tutorial, using a compatible replacement button for the Jet model.
Note
Difficulty: Easy
Duration: Less than 15 minutes
Diagnosis
-
Inability to use the machine: If your Sodastream machine does not respond when you press the button, it could be due to a damaged push button. A broken button may prevent the machine from activating, making it impossible to use its functions.
-
Poor carbonation: If your Sodastream machine does not carbonate the water properly, a faulty push button could be the cause. A damaged button might not distribute CO2 correctly, leading to inefficient or non-existent carbonation.
Prerequisites
- A replacement push button from RepairCoffee
- Your Sodastream Jet machine
Repairing the Sodastream Push Button
Step 1: Safety
Start by turning off and unplugging your Sodastream machine for safety reasons. Make sure the device is completely powered off before beginning.
Step 2: Remove the back cover
Remove the back cover of the machine to access the area where the gas bottle is located. You should now see the back of the push button that needs replacing.
Step 3: Remove the push button

Attention
A spring might be present under the push button. If so, you will need to put it back in the same way when replacing the push button.

Insert the new RepairCoffee push button and replace the back cover.
Step 5: Check for proper functionality
Before plugging in and using your Sodastream, press the push button and see if the mechanism works correctly.
Compatibility
The replacement push button is compatible only with the Sodastream Jet machines.
FAQ
As explained on the official Sodastream website, the warranty does not apply only in cases of misuse or improper handling, using non-Sodastream CO2 cylinders, or carbonating liquids other than water. Therefore, the warranty should still work, although we cannot guarantee it.
If you are unsure of your Sodastream model, we invite you to refer to the information provided on the official Sodastream website.
Unfortunately, Sodastream does not provide replacement push buttons, so you will need to turn to non-brand buttons. We recommend purchasing from our Amazon store.
